GBP is the public Google listing. Messaging and review replies assume the place is connected in Portal.
- In Portal, open Google Business Profile or the connected-accounts screen.
- Sign in with the Google account that owns the listing and pick the correct place.
- Confirm the place id matches the shop you intended — multi-location owners should double-check the address.
- Send a test message from the Google listing if messaging is enabled.
- New threads appear in Inbox. Reviews from that place appear next to Smart Review.
